Responsibilities:
- Inspect clean disassemble and rebuild casting and trim dies using blueprints and technical specifications.
- Operate manual and CNC equipment to machine polish and finish die cavity surfaces.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding repairs on dies both in the die shop and on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot die performance issues and make on-the-spot adjustments while dies are mounted on machines.
- Transport dies using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team leaders to prioritize work orders.
- Document all repairs and maintenance work accurately using forms and checklists.
- Train and mentor new technicians as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support safety and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree trade certification or completion of a formal apprenticeship in Tool & Die Manufacturing Technology or related field.
- Up to 2 years of hands-on die repair experience (on-the-job training available for less experienced candidates).
- Strong knowledge of grinding polishing welding and blueprint reading.
- Ability to use hand tools precision measuring instruments and shop machinery.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and safety.
