GeneralSummary.
TheManager Maintenance will be responsible for managing day to day activitieswithin the facilities maintenance department. Oversees and manages theproduction and facility equipment as well as ensuring building production and operations can operate at a high level ensuringtimelines are met and deadlines on SLA requirements are maintained.
This position will beresponsible for..
- Manages at least 2 fulltime direct reports. Managementresponsibilities include but are not limited to hiring coaching skillsdevelopment recognition and rewards staff productivity and performancemanagement to include disciplinary actions up to and includingtermination.
- Plans organizesstaffs directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department;develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.
- Develops and managesthe department budget ensures compliance and addresses variances and otherbudget concerns.
- Expertise in one ormore of the following fields: Construction Electrical Mechanical NetworkingHVAC Facility Maintenance Engineering Installation Software and PLCcontrols and Core Audit.
- Oversee theprioritization of work orders and how it affects the overall operation.
- Utilize necessarysoftware and resources to ensure smooth work flow.
- Ensure Safetyprocedures are followed to ensure a safe work place.
- Work with theMaintenance Technicians in a team environment to address maintenanceassignments and trouble shoot issues.
- Work with Manager leveland above to provide input for best solutions.
- May assist in thetraining of new maintenance team members.
- Arranges cross trainingfor maintenance team members in new trades.
- Assists engineers withproduction and facility layout and processes with focus on safety qualityproductivity cost savings and minimizing waste.
- Quotes and leadscontractors in installation or repair of equipment when necessary.
- Helps design andsupport engineering projects.

- Bachelors Degree inrelated field preferred and 8 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of degree highschool diploma or GED and 10 years of relevant experience.
- Span of control is atdepartment level or above.
- Five (5) yearsbuilding and equipment maintenance experience required.
- Three (3) years ofsupervisory experience required.
- Knowledge of plumbingforklift repair electrical repair etc. strongly preferred.
- Excellent written andverbal communication skills.
