JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking applicants for the part-time job of GraduateStudent Engineer LLM-Powered RAG System Development.
Job Description :
The Student Engineer will work under the guidance of Penn States Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) and Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) to design develop and deploy a prototype web-based application powered by a large language model (LLM) with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The system will support natural language access to the Clinical and Translational Science Institutes (CTSI) internal documentation and support resources. The position involves full-stack prototype development local deployment within a secure network and facilitation of user testing and feedback collection. The goal is to improve user access to institutional knowledge and reduce administrative load through responsible AI integration.
Requirements qualifications and/or competencies:
Compensation: $30 / hour

End Date: August 23 2025
Scheduled Weekly Hours : 12 - 20
