About the Team
As a member of the People and Culture Department the WHS team is tasked with implementing Councils WHS Management System strategy and culture including leading and working on exciting WHS related projects.
About the Role
Being a member of the Work Health & Safety (WHS) Team you will have outstanding thinking skills balanced with an ability to deliver innovative solutions for the business. This role will have influence and responsibility for providing accurate and timely advice to stakeholders and management. You will be the kind of WHS professional that is driven to find real solutions that make sense that matter and will make a difference to the safety and wellbeing of our staff.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to complement existing services offered and to support our Council Safe Home Safe Towards Zero program. We are looking for those who can partner with the business implement change and embed best practice.
You will be responsible for supporting Council departments in the development and implementation of Councils safety audits and risk assessments as well as the identifying non-conformances including recommendations and solution options. You will also be responsible for leading serious incident investigations and working with stakeholders and senior management to implement corrective actions.

Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $107058.00 - $1239240.00 per annum plus 12% Superannuation.
Access to a Leaseback Vehicle is available with this position; however it is not a condition of employment.
