The Direct Billing Analyst will be responsible for managing the direct billing process related to employee benefits ensuring accurate invoicing payment processing and customer account reconciliation. This role is critical to maintaining financial accuracy and fostering positive relationships with clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and issue direct billing invoices for employee benefits plans ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor billing schedules to ensure timely distribution of invoices.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of client accounts to verify billing accuracy and payment status.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payment records promptly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and issues related to employee benefits.
- Collaborate with customer service and HR teams to address client needs and enhance satisfaction.
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement in billing processes.
- Generate reports on billing activities outstanding balances and payment histories for internal review.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies governing employee benefits billing.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations.
- Work closely with benefits administration underwriting and finance teams to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.
- Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in finance Accounting or a related field preferred. Alternatively equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits programs and associated billing processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
