Summary: The Program Supervisor will support and supervise DSP staff. The Program Supervisor will oversee the operation of KCARCs Residential homes.
Essential Duties
- Adhere to KCARCs quality policy of striving to continuously improve delivery of all services and products to customers meeting or exceeding requirements.
- Promote the mission and values of KCARC through personal example providing educational opportunities communicating with honesty inviting input and expecting mutual accountability.
- Execute home visits to monitor the implementation of programming to ensure active treatment is provided and participant needs are met. Each home should be visited weekly.
- Provide daily support in assigned homes to ensure appropriate individual care and staff competency.
- Fill open shifts in various locations as needed.
- Manage record and approve/deny all DSP schedules and clocked work hours as well as communicate any deviations to you direct supervisor. Responsible for approval/denial of PTO requests for DSP.
- Ensure all billing entries are accurate for codes times and Individuals served and entered using the appropriate software for designated sites.
- Ensure time is being approved and attendance is being tracked and communicated as required for payroll and human resources
- Assist with ensuring staff submit all job requirement documentation (i.e. drivers license renewals auto insurance etc.) and forward to Human Resources as necessary.
- Plan and assign safety drills to ensure completion in accordance with all state federal and agency regulations and policy.
- Monitor all home food purchases. Promote healthy choices. Ensure individuals have all needed essentials such as clothing and personal hygiene items
- Maintain pest control system for all assigned sites. Continually inspect and audit homes ensure pest-free environment.
- Continually inspect assigned sites for all required checklists to ensure the cleanliness. Provide assistance to DSP staff.
- Accurately maintain the property lists for all individuals.
- Oversee individuals finances in home including necessary paperwork. Ensure budget sheets are completed for Individuals served.
- Coordinate transportation and other outing specific duties for activities including but not limited to Special Olympics.
- Ensure all reportable incidents are reported to direct supervisor immediately.
- Assist with moves.
- Ensure an environment that promotes teamwork and unity.
20. Ensure communication is maintained with all staff through phone e-mail memos or other professional means.
21. Complete all assigned training by the due date.
22. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times as well as a positive attitude within the work environment.
23. Complete audits and competency checks as directed by supervisor.
24. Be able to frequently lift 75 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with assistance.
25. All other duties deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
- Maintain reliable transportation available for use during working hours valid drivers license and provide proof of automobile liability coverage.
- Possess ability to maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
- Possess excellent research and writing skills.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Possess the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with people of varied backgrounds.

- Be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office products (Computer literate).

- Be able to multitask effectively in a sometimes fast paced environment.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent and one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required. Associates degree in public or business administration education rehabilitation sociology/social work/psychology or closely related fields preferred.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
Medication Administration: Core A and Core B
CPR/First Aid

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but occasionally loud. Use of Personal Protective Equipment such as vinyl or latex gloves is occasionally required.
