Class Summary


This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays leave or benefits.

Job Description
This Part-time Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of basic clerical office functions.The ideal candidate will need a thorough understanding of the assigned area and be flexible all while providing exceptional customer service communication and interpersonal skills as well as working well under pressure.

Essential Duties
  • Scheduling meetings interviews and taking detailed meeting minutes
  • Greeting and assisting both internal and external customers
  • Answering and directing phone callsfrom the public
  • Handling incoming communication in a positive manner from internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining and updating training calendars for staff
  • Preparing sorting and entering asset management data
  • Performing office procedures and methods with applicable software
  • Operating office equipment such as computers faxes etc.
Public Speaking Duties
  • Speaking to a variety of members of the public in a front desk setting
  • Informing the general public about services
  • Interacting with coworkers supervisor staff meetings the general public etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
Hourly rate
The salary will be $16.80/hour.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of general office experience
  • One year of administrative support or related office experience
  • Valid drivers license
