Le SUO recrute pour son Bureau de communication et de marketing. Cette quipe crative et dynamique compose uniquement dtudiantes sefforcera de communiquer sur notre travail auprs des 40000tudiantes que nous servons laide de moyens innovants et accessibles. Elle sensibilisera au travail de notre personnel et de nos services dvous grce un contenu engageant.

Description du poste
Le ou la designer graphique joue un rle dterminant dans lamlioration et linnovation des communications du SUO. Iel travaille sous la direction du ou de la commissaire aux communications et du ou de la coordinateurtrice des communications pour crer des graphiques attrayants qui mettent en valeur nos vnements nos activits et nos initiatives. Ce poste offre une chance stimulante dacqurir une exprience professionnelle et pratique en design graphique tout en faonnant notre identit visuelle et en contribuant notre mission de servir la communaut tudiante de lUniversit dOttawa.
Responsabilits
  • Crer des contenus physiques et numriques pour le marketing et la communication des services notamment des publications sur les mdias sociaux des reels des affiches des produits drivs des ressources du contenu promotionnel etc.
  • Concevoir entirement des graphiques originaux laide dAdobe Illustrator ou de programmes de conception graphique et dillustration similaires
  • Travailler en troite collaboration avec les coordinateurtrices de services afin de garantir la rapidit de livraison et la qualit du contenu.
  • Utiliser des kits de marque pour assurer la cohrence et la qualit du contenu et afin damliorer la reconnaissance de la marque du SUO et de ses services.
  • Veiller lapplication de la Politique daccessibilit du SUO dans tous les contenus crs.
  • tre au fait du travail des services et travailler en troite collaboration avec leur coordinateurtrice afin de produire un contenu de haute qualit pour leurs mdias sociaux vnements et campagnes.
  • Soutenir le travail de la ou du commissaire aux communications et proposer des ides innovantes en matire de marketing et de communication que ce soit en ligne ou hors ligne.
  • Collaborer avec dautres membres de lquipe des communications pour la cration et la diffusion de contenu notamment le ou la coordinateurtrice Web deux traducteurtrices et une photographe/vidographe.
  • Assurer le dveloppement la croissance la visibilit et la promotion du SUO de ses services de ses ressources et de ses programmes.
  • Participer des formations des ateliers et des vnements afin dlargir le bagage ducatif et les comptences professionnelles ncessaires au travail au sein du Dpartement des communications et du SUO dans son ensemble.
  • Travailler laide dimprimantes professionnelles pour garantir la qualit des produits imprims.
  • Effectuer dautres tches connexes selon les besoins.
Qualifications
  • Doit tudier lUniversit dOttawa.
  • Exprience significative en cration intgrale de contenu visuel unique et de contenu promotionnel.
  • Solides connaissances et exprience relative aux outils ddition tels que Canva et Adobe Illustrator.
  • Bonne capacit dorganisation et souci du dtail.
  • Capacit grer des chances contradictoires et hirarchiser les tches.
  • Connaissance approfondie du SUO et de ses services.
  • Exprience en cration de produits promotionnels imprims rpondant des normes professionnelles.
  • Matrise de la suite Microsoft.
  • La connaissance des principes de conception visuelle et des normes professionnelles de lindustrie est essentielle.
  • Capacit communiquer de manire inclusive.
  • Connaissance et engagement vis--vis des meilleures pratiques en matire daccessibilit au contenu.
  • Autonomie et travail dquipe.
  • Bonne connaissance de lUniversit dOttawa et de son campus.
  • Bonne connaissance du SUO de ses services clubs associations et activits.
  • Le bilinguisme en franais et en anglais est un atout.

Department Description
The UOSU is hiring for its Communication and Marketing Office. This dynamic all student creative team will work to communicate our work to the 40000 students we serve through innovative and accessible ways. They will bring awareness to the work of our dedicated staff and services through engaging content.

Job Description
The Graphic Designer will play an instrumental role in improving and innovating in the UOSUs communications. They will work under the Communications Commissioner and Coordinator to create compelling graphics that highlights our events activities and initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience in graphic design while shaping our visual brand and contributing to our mission of serving the uOttawa student community.
Responsibilities
  • Create digital and physical service marketing and communications materials including but not limited to social media posts Reels posters merch resources promotional material etc.
  • Create original graphics from scratch using adobe illustrator or similar graphic design & illustration programs
  • Work closely with service coordinators to ensure prompt and quality content deliveries.
  • Use brand packages to ensure consistency and quality of content and to improve brand recognition for UOSU and its services.
  • Ensure the application of the UOSUs accessibility policy in all materials created.
  • Stay apprised of services work and work closely with their coordinators to produce high-quality content for their social media events and campaigns.
  • Support the work of the Communications commissioner and propose innovative marketing and communications ideas whether online or offline.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Communications team for content creation and distribution including the webmaster two translators and a photographer/videographer.
  • Ensure the ongoing development growth visibility and promotion of UOSU its services resources resources and programs.
  • Participate in training workshops and events in order to expand educational background and professional skills that are required for the work in the Communications Department and the UOSU as a whole.
  • Working with professional printers to ensure the quality of print products.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a student at the University of Ottawa;
  • Significant experience creating one-of-a-kind visual content from scratch and promotional material;
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with editing tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator;
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and to prioritize tasks;
  • Extensive knowledge of the UOSU and its services;
  • Experience creating print promotional products to professional standards;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite;
  • Knowledge of visual design principles & professional industry standards is essential;
  • Ability to communicate in an inclusive manner;
  • Knowledge of and commitment to content accessibility best practices;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good knowledge of the University of Ottawa and its campus;
  • Good knowledge of UOSU its services clubs associations and activities;
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
