Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Watershed Security is looking for an Experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our growing team in Hampton Roads VA. Be part of a multifaceted team providing RMF ISSE Support to the Coast Guard. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering Systems and achieving and maintaining ATOs. Multiple Positions are available at levels one two and three (see below for more information)
Provides technical input recommendations and assistance with the implementation of both higher and granular-level cyber security approaches methods and solutions that incorporate and maintain compliance to requirements resulting from laws regulations and other pertinent guidance. May be required to perform or assist in one or more of the following areas: Risk and Vulnerability Assessments; Cyber Hunting activities; conducting scanning; assessment of system security for compliance of applications; security of computer network hardware; operating system utility/support software; disaster recovery; incident response and digital forensics; vulnerability threat management; cloud security; contingency planning; social engineering; and the development of security procedures. Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Final salary is influenced by factors such as location contract labor categories experience skills education and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation medical and dental benefits educational reimbursement 401K plans with matching 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is: $89000 - $124000 USD

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Level 1/2: Associates degree in Computer Science Cyber Security Information Technology Software Engineering Information Systems Computer Engineering or other related discipline.
- Level 3: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cyber Security Information Technology Software Engineering Information Systems Computer Engineering or other related discipline.
- Certifications:
- Level 1: GSEC or Security
- Level 2: CASP or CCSP or Cloud or CSSLP
- Level 3: CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP
- Years of relevant experience
- Level 1: 1 years
- Level 2: 3 Years
- Level 3: 5 Years
- Demonstrated experience in Information Security (INFOSEC); computer security; cryptography; network security; assessment and authorization; incident response investigations; risk analysis; threat and vulnerability scanning analysis and management. Demonstrated experience with system and security engineering principles such as secure architecture design and development and defense in depth. Demonstrated communication skills to interface with all levels of management as well as appropriate use of style and language for audience.
- Core Knowledge of:
- Risk management processes (e.g. methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
- National and international laws regulations policies and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity
- Cybersecurity principles
- Cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies
- Specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Work is onsite in Greater Hampton Roads Area (Norfolk Virginia Beach Chesapeake Suffolk Portsmouth Newport News Hampton) Monday Friday 8am -4.30pm EST
