As an Energy Systems Integration Engineer at GE Aerospace you will lead research projects and associated technology maturation focusing on enhancing GE Aerospaces capabilities in Energy Systems design test and integration. This role involves collaborating across teams and sites engaging with customers stakeholders researchers and engineers to drive innovation and ensure technological advancement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead research projects in Energy Systems ensuring customer alignment and guiding technology maturation plans.
  • Conduct component and product integration to achieve maximum performance and operability.
  • Manage product and system requirements specifications and flow-down processes.
  • Drive validation and verification activities including system-level testing.
  • Define product requirements for modules components subcontractors and partners.
  • Manage interfaces between components and execution organizations.
  • Drive critical-to-quality (CTQ) and risk trades within design teams.
  • Stay informed on the latest technical developments and integrate best practices into projects.
  • Use technical expertise for data analysis and support recommendations.
  • Provide guidance and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate: A strategic and innovative engineer with a strong background in thermal management systems fluids vapor compression systems or thermodynamic cycle modeling (performance). The candidate should thrive in collaborative environments and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aerospace Engine Engineering Design and/or systems integration.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience leading and coordinating with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Experience with global cross-functional teams and the ability to work individually and in teams.
  • Passionate about giving and receiving mentorship.
  • Exposure to commercial engine design or certification requirements.
