The UT Southwestern Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking an Instructor level faculty position in the areas of therapeutic devices cancer immunotherapy and veterinary medicine for our new companion animal facility. Appointment as an Instructor commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Applicants must have a Ph.D.; individuals with expertise in biomedical engineering immunology cancer biology and in vivo animal tumor models are encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities associated with the role; engage in mechanistic and therapeutic explorations spanning both in vitro and in vivo models leveraging a drug-device synergy. Participate in veterinary trials specifically focused on companion animal cancer patients. Develop manuscripts for publication and present findings on international and domestic platforms. Actively contribute to the collective efforts of the research team.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research work on or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
