Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist Contracts supporting the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) program within the Naval Shipboard Missile Systems Portfolio of Raytheons Naval Power Strategic Business Unit. This role will be primarily supporting the Design Agent (DA) part of the program with likely support of international Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracting opportunities as well. The primary responsibilities will include collaborating with internal and external stakeholders providing contractual guidance and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal negotiation and contract executions.

What You Will Do
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations achieve company goals and comply with company policies.
- Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP) development of proposals proposal reviews and coordination negotiation contractual agreements contract execution as well as general contract administration.
- Identify mitigate and resolve contractual issues as they may arise.
- Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Experience with contract administrative support activities and / or contracts negotiations
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working with Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracting
- Ability to partner with others work in a team environment and defer to management as appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
- Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination
- Active and transferrable DoD Secret Clearance

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
