Job Description

When you work as the Senior Report Coordinator at KCAS Bio you will be responsible for the reporting of scientific data tables and establishing the framework of this role you will develop the introduction and methods sections of Draft Reports and Safety Assessment studies. You will also perform electronic report compilation of assigned studies keeping current with changing technology assisting Study Directors with proofreading of reports and developing unique and electronic formats for Sponsors.

In this role we will rely on you to:

    • Provide complete Introduction Materials Methods and Summary sections of reports to Principal Investigators.
    • Provide technical/editorial recommendations on reports to Principal Investigators by performing a report review.
    • Provide guidance and training to less experienced department staff in basic aspects of report writing.
    • Generate and complete Materials and Methods template for reports.
    • Import and format data tables for the organization of scientific data on all types of studies.
    • Ensure protocol and amendment requirements are met concerning final report data or notify PI/Director when not.
    • Ensure that tables are an accurate representation of data as indicated by the protocol and its amendments.
    • Maintain deadlines for report generation via the Report Tracking Schedule. Keep current with changing technology.
    • Identify and resolve inconsistencies in text data and sub reports during compilation and post-compilation reviews of compiled reports.
    • Input electronically transferred data from available resources as necessary.
    • Work on assigned projects that involve enhancement and/or improvement to department processes and operations.
    • Assist in identifying training and development needs of the department.
    • Assist in the development implementation and delivery of departmental training programs. Maintain group training manual and training records.
    • Develop pivot tables graphs and figures for the presentation and analysis of scientific data.
    • Assist in ensuring optimum performance of group function. May recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity increase efficiencies cut costs take advantage of opportunities and maintain state-of-the-art practices.
    • Serve as a model to junior-level department personnel as it relates to effective time management communication and utilization of resources. Assist in providing leadership and motivation to departmental personnel.
    • Provide guidance in the day-to-day activities of limited assigned departmental employees to ensure accurate high-quality work and adherence to pertinent departmental policies practices and procedures (SOPs safety procedures and biosafety protocols).
    • Provide regular assistance for other members of the group when training on specific tasks.
    • Assist in the maintenance and communication of departmental systems and SOPs.
    • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend processes to improve efficiency and procedures.
    • Keep current with changing technology.

To qualify specifically for this role you will have:

    • 2-4 years related experience in scientific data presentation writing editing proofreading and desktop publishing. Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred.
    • Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) in biological sciences computer science business administration or related discipline.
    • Advanced training in applicable software applications preferred.
    • Advanced skills with spreadsheet database and publishing software (e.g. MS Excel Word and Adobe Acrobat PDF software).
    • Proficient at file conversion and compilation.
    • Strong written verbal and analytical skills.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work with all levels of staff.
    • Ability to adjust priorities to adhere to stringent deadlines.
    • Familiar with medical terminology.
    • Familiarity with preclinical study protocols/reports and FDA Electronic Reporting compliance ispreferred.
    • Familiarity with Provantis system and/or Business Objects preferred.
    • Knowledge of GLP regulations preferred.
