Job Description

Job Title: Lewis Family Drug (LFD) Customer Service

Reports to: Chief Pharmacist Front End Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Rate: $15.00-17.00/hr

Summary

The LFD customer service associate is responsible for providing friendly prompt and knowledgeable service to patients and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn Lewis Drug policies and procedures and perform them daily
  • Professionally manage and assist in all customer sales returns wait times and complaints
  • Answer phone calls promptly and in a polite manner
  • Serve as liaison between the customer and various store departments by providing friendly courteous and prompt information
  • Responsible for daily processes and opening and/or closing customer service machines
  • Responsible for operating the cash register copier and other store equipment as necessary
  • Responsible for keeping customer service/ front end clean neat and clutter free
  • Promote Lewis initiatives and represent Lewis in a positive manner to our customers and communities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist/Pharmacist or Front End Manager

  • Possess the initiative to plan for and complete daily activities in coordination with other team members

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (or in progress)
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Basic math and computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly from one workstation to another
  • Must be able to constantly operate a cash register and other customer service equipment
  • Constantly positions self or moves about the pharmacy to access product and supplies from varying height levels
  • Ability to lift/move items up to 40 lbs occasionally up to 10 lbs frequently and less than 10 lbs constantly
  • Must have ability to communicate verbally with staff and patients
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced setting (data entry answering phones waiting on patients etc.)
