We re seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to support the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System under a long-term federal healthcare contract. This position offers a chance to deliver life-saving image-guided procedures for U.S. veterans in a collaborative mission-driven environment.

Services provided at University Drive campus; after-hours coverage may extend to other VA divisions if needed.
Full-Time On-Site
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
40 hours/week
On-call coverage required (after-hours weekends holidays)
Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch
Federal holidays observed
Perform interventional procedures including:
Angioplasty embolization drain placement biopsies
Central venous catheter and port placements
Interpret diagnostic imaging studies (fluoroscopy CT ultrasound)
Provide consultations and clinical oversight to VA care teams
Document procedures and care in CPRS/Vista
Comply with all HIPAA VA and Joint Commission standards
Participate in peer review quality improvement and performance audits
Provide after-hours on-call services in rotation
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Completion of ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship in Interventional Radiology
Board Certification or Eligibility in Interventional Radiology
Active unrestricted medical license (any U.S. state or territory)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience in Interventional Radiology
U.S. Citizenship (federal requirement)
Experience in VA military or other federal healthcare systems
Proficiency with CPRS and VistA
Demonstrated ability to perform independently in emergent situations
Academic or high-volume hospital experience

Contract Full-Time
Start Date: Upon completion of credentialing
Initial Term: 1 year
