Senior Peer Specialist - ACCS

ACCS Integrated Teams provide clinical interventions and peer and family support to facilitate engagement support functioning and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals and to assist individuals in developing skills establishing natural supports and resources to live successfully in the community.
As a member of the ACCS team the Senior Peer Specialist will work as a member of Persons Served Primary Teams to inspire hope that recovery is possible through individual and group conversations guiding Persons through their own recovery process and assisting him/her/them with learning about and accessing recovery resources and communities. The Senior Peer Specialist will provide education to persons engaged in services and team members advocacy and direct service using their own recovery experience as a positive model.
The Senior Peer Specialist will also mentor and support other peer staff and the program at large to deepen the understanding of applied peer support within ACCS as well as the use of recovery principles in collaboration with other roles. This will include working to facilitate a better understanding of the peer roles among other team members while promoting the recovery values as seen through peer support/lived experience. They will gather and maintain up to date resources in our Teams channel. The Senior Peer Specialist will also co-lead trainings and discussions modeling the Peer perspective for all team members across various ACCS themes and topics. They will embody elevating the Peer voice and person-centered care in all aspects of service delivery collaboration and meetings
Schedule: Full Time 40 hours
Pay Rate: $24.63/hourly

Required Skills
- Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a team of staff required.
- Must have a valid drivers license regular access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle as needed.
Required Experience
- Must have a lived history of recovery in the context of mental illness
- Related work experience and ability to articulate wellness/recovery values and principles required
- Must have either a college degree or a high school diploma/GED and at least 2 years relevant experience
- Certification as a Peer Specialist (CPS) required
