Job Description
Fortuna is seeking an Outreach Specialist to support awareness and engagement for a national behavioral health program serving military and veteran populations. This role involves public-facing outreach communications and travel to promote program visibility at events and partner sites.
This position is part of a proposal response and is contingent upon contract award anticipated in October 2025.
WORKSITE: Remote with frequent travel to events military bases and DHA HQ (Falls Church VA)
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time includes travel days and occasional weekend events
PAY RATE: $35.00 -$39.00 per hour

WHAT YOULL DO:
Develop and execute outreach campaigns to raise program awareness
Represent the program at conferences VA facilities and military installations
Prepare and distribute outreach materials and briefing documents
Coordinate with internal teams to align messaging and strategy
Attend monthly on-site meetings at DHA HQ (as needed)
Complete post-event after-action reports and maintain outreach records
WHAT YOULL BRING:
Bachelors degree in marketing public relations communications or related field
3 years of relevant experience in marketing PR or communications
2 years of experience in programmatic outreach and campaign execution
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
Must pass Tier 1 background investigation (SF-85)
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (citizenship not required).
