Job Description

We are seeking an Administrative Professional 1 in our Dayton Regional Parole Office. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Produce reports charts correspondence statistics tables and memoranda in electronic and hard file format that is complex and/or technical in nature.
  • Provide a full range of general office assistance (i.e. filing faxing scanning retrieve and disseminate incoming mail prepare outgoing mail and packages for delivery. etc.)
  • Gather statistical data utilizing current database systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and complete meeting minutes and notes.
  • Provide office coverage of receptionist area by answering phone lines directing calls and maintaining call forwarding system for after hours coverage.
  • Track new admissions and assign new cases as directed.
  • Prepare and provide necessary paperwork and information (i.e. court packets monthly progress reports off-grounds activity request etc.)
  • Maintain the electronic filing system for all regional youth (i.e. youth movements youth discharges youth demographics youth addresses drug screen results etc.)

PRE-SERVICE TRAINING:

All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services must complete three (3) weeks of paid pre-service training at our Training Academy in Orient Ohio. The training is Monday-Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Travel lodging and meals are provided.

DYS is a qualifying employer for purposes of the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness PSLF program.
