Cardiac Surgery Assistant Nurse Director
Full Time / 40 Hours
This position is Temporary with an expected duration of 6 months with hospital option to extend or shorten based on clinical or other needs.
Job Summary
Summary
Directs plans and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering quality patient care. May provide direct patient care.
Essential Functions
Ensure the development implementation and evaluation of staff onboarding training and education.
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff.
Ensures a positive work environment that is safe for patients visitors and staff.
Coordinating unit activities with other hospital departments of the hospital
Develops and implements staffing plans.

Does this position require Patient Care (indirect/direct) Yes
1. Prefer Masters in Nursing -MSN (or) DNP (or) PhD in Nursing (or) a BSN with a Masters degree in a related field.
2. Bachelors in Nursing required.
3. Current certification required or to be attained within two-year period. Certification must be maintained while employed in this position.
4. Minimum of 5 years Acute Care nursing experience required.
5. Cardiac Surgery nursing experiencerequired.
6. Clinical experience will be evaluated on an individual basis by the hiring Nurse Director.
7. Current registration in nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current nursing licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
