Job Description
Job Summary
Provide individual Guitar lessons to Bethel students at a variety of skill levels and teach two introductory Guitar courses
Responsibilities
teach two 1-credit introductory Guitar courses that meet a general education requirement for Bethel University undergraduate students
teach 30- 45- or 60-minute weekly voice lessons in person to undergraduate students during Fall and Spring semesters.
prepare individual students for performances throughout the semester and for juries at the end of each semester
Skills
strong guitar skills
thorough understanding of mechanics of guitar playing
ability to teach college students at a variety of skill levels
Experience
Experience teaching guitar lessons at the high school or college level required; experience at college level preferred
Education
Bachelors degree in music music education or related field is required; Masters degree preferred
Additional Information
Compensation:
Between $45-$55 per hour for individual lessons and $1250 per load credit for courses

August 2025
