Emerald Crest a Cassia community is hiring a Lead Cook to join our culinary team!
Youll play a key role in supporting the well-being of our memory care residents through delicious thoughtfully prepared food. This position works in our commissary kitchen located in Burnsville.
As a Lead Cook at Emerald Crest youll handle food and supply ordering create and update menus and prepare meals for all three Emerald Crest locations. Youll contribute to a positive dining experience and lead by example in a supportive team-focused environment. The ideal candidate has 12 years of commercial cooking experience and is comfortable following recipes and dietary guidelines.

Shifts Available: 5:00 am 1:30 pm
Pay: $24 - $29 per hour

Lead Cook Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in our commissary kitchen located in Burnsville.
- Complete food and supply ordering for all three Emerald Crest sites.
- Create and update menus for all three sites ensuring compliance with dietary standards.
- Coordinates with the Culinary Director/Manager to align ordering and menu planning across locations.
- Package meals to be picked up for delivery to our 3 locations (Burnsville Minnetonka and Shakopee)
- Assist with new employee orientation education for caregivers.
- Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
- Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
- Inspect the kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
- 1-2 years prior experience in a commercial setting.
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with others.
