The Team Manager - IT Supplier and Asset Management role is critical in ensuring that Roland Bergers IT function is efficient cost-effective and agile in sourcing the technologies that consultants and staff rely on. By combining supplier management acumen procurement strategy and leadership the Team Manager enables the company to forge strong vendor partnerships and achieve operational excellence in its IT services. As the Team Manager you will lead the IT Supplier and Asset Management function overseeing the end to end IT supplier lifecycle strategic procurement vendor relationships and IT asset/license management. Manage a team of up to 6 colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure cost-effective compliant and high-performance supply of IT products and services.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Oversee all IT supplier relationships including onboarding new suppliers and offboarding when necessary ensuring consistent performance and compliance with company standards.
- IT Procurement & Vendor Selection: Lead the IT purchasing process end-to-end from requirements gathering and RFPs to comparing products/vendors to select optimal solutions that align with business needs and budget.
- Asset & License Management: Manage the companys IT assets and software licenses maintaining up-to-date inventories and ensuring efficient license usage and compliance with vendor agreements.
- Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate and administer contracts with IT suppliers (hardware software services) securing favorable terms monitoring SLAs and renegotiating supplier agreements as needed to optimize cost and value.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Supervise and mentor a team of up to 6 professionals setting priorities and fostering cross-functional collaboration (with IT Finance Legal etc.) to ensure the supplier management function supports strategic goals and operates efficiently.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT supplier management IT procurement or a related role (with leadership responsibilities) demonstrating a track record of successful vendor negotiations and project delivery.
- Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology Supply Chain Management or related field (Masters/MBA is a plus).
- Relevant certifications are highly valued e.g. CPSM or CIPS for procurement expertise ITIL Foundation for IT service management and/or CSAM/CITAM for IT asset management indicating solid professional knowledge.
- Proficiency with procurement systems (ERP purchasing modules e-sourcing tools) and IT asset management software; strong analytical skills (advanced Excel) to perform spend analysis and product comparisons.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities to manage vendor relationships and contracts effectively strong leadership and team management skills to guide a 6-person team and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive process improvements.
