Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Our Network and Service Planning and Design team is looking for a dynamic individual to provide strategic support to the Executive Vice President Network and Service Planning and Design in the areas of corporate governance reporting guidance and operations Senior Management Team advisory stakeholder management and alignment of enterprise activities within operations.
What will I be doing
- Provide subject matter and strategic expertise through team discussions report/dashboard development review and development of key documentation.
- Support and enable divisional governance through meeting coordination agenda planning and materials coordination.
- Prioritize and coordinate key meetings and cross-functional workshops.
- Providing input on and lead behalf of the Executive Vice President enterprise-wide projects to ensure consistency in internal and cross-functional content and change leadership.
- Develops and implements communication strategies and materials that support key initiatives and convey program changes to all members of Service & Access Planning.
- Manages stakeholders to address conflicting priorities or demands and manage complex situations on behalf of Service Design Rail Corridor Access and Sponsors
- Ensure that quality standards are adhered to during the development and implementation of divisional projects and Service Design office input into enterprise projects.
- Support in the development and distribution of key communications from the Vice Presidents office to key stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with other executive offices to ensure proper planning and executive of work.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree in Public Administration Business Administration or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience providing advice to senior executives leading teams managing and reviewing written materials and managing projects from inception to implementation.
- Knowledge in project management and change management.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues management and effective management of challenges to support the introduction of new concepts team support etc.
- Proven analytical and research support and evaluating and recommending changes to policies programs and practices; demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and analyse business processes.
- Strong Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills to draft correspondence developing presentations prepare reports and briefings etc.
