Your Role as FT Assistant Coach for Womens Lacrosse:
Canisius University seeks a full-time Assistant Coach for the Womens Lacrosse program with a strong preference for candidates with a background in coaching goaltending and defense. Canisius is a member of the Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The assistant coach for womens lacrosse ensures the Canisius Womens Lacrosse program is administered with constant commitment to compliance with all institutional conference and NCAA rules and regulations. This position reports to the Head Coach for Womens Lacrosse.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct and evaluate goalies and the defensive unit.
Organize and execute individual skill instruction for players.
Schedule and coordinate conditioning drills and workouts in conjunction with assigned athletic performance coach.
Assist with academic advisement monitoring and development of student-athletes.
Recruit qualified student athletes for Canisius University Womens Lacrosse Program.
Develop defensive scouting reports and evaluate game film.
Assist with team travel and recruiting trip arrangements.
Assist with coordinating official and unofficial visits written correspondence and electronic communications.
Ensure the womens lacrosse program is administered with constant commitment to compliance with all institutional conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Record all practice logs recruits/recruiting activities in ARMS.
Supervise assigned professional and/or student staff.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
