Big-D Construction has an opportunity for a Field Engineer to join our team of construction professionals for a project in San Tan Valley AZ.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures a high level of compliance with safety requirements across all areas of the project. Maintains required safety training and enforces company safety policies.
- Manages and organizes all quality control checklists within area of responsibility.
- Verifies that all ongoing and completed work complies with contract documents.
- Motivates those around them and maintains high level of production and morale.
- Assists with field inspections with various entities (municipal 3rd party designers etc.)
- Understands contractual responsibilities contract documents and specifications.
- Assist with shop drawing and submittal reviews.
- Assists in project information flow internally and externally
- Assists with daily reporting as delegated by Area Superintendent Project Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
- Monitors activities at construction sites.
- Ensure construction progresses as scheduled.
- Preparation of lift drawings.
- Coordinate material deliveries and track delivery schedules.
- Verify materials delivered to the job comply with the project specifications and Contract Documents.
- Assist in creating punch lists direct/schedule subcontractors to make corrections and verifies that all deficiencies are abated.
- Direct/coordinate a small crew(s) (self-perform or subcontractors)
- Direct/coordinate a small scope of work with guidance from an Area Superintendent Project Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
- Site layout and surveying.
- Assist in creating punch lists direct/schedule subcontractors to make corrections and verifies that all deficiencies are abated.
Other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from four-year college or university in construction management engineering or related field experience.
- Experience on a ground-up multifamily project is not required but highly preferred.
