You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Mayo Clinic Arizona Division of Infectious Diseases provides consultation and treatment for inpatients and outpatients with all types of infectious disease. Special interest is placed on the diagnosis and treatment of difficult infectious diseases including mycobacterial and fungal infections (including coccidioidomycosis) and AIDS. Special areas of consultative services include AIDS/HIV infections Coccidioidomycosis/Valley Fever Endocarditis Fever of unknown origin Orthopedic infections Osteomyelitis and Transplants. Infectious diseases constitute three of the top 10 overall leading causes of death in the world. An ever-changing landscape with ease of international travel permitting rapid dissemination of emerging pathogens evolution and increasing prevalence of multidrug-resistant microbes in the health care setting novel and more-intense immunosuppressive therapies placing patients at a higher risk of opportunistic infections and the ongoing HIV epidemic are some of the reasons why the field of infectious diseases is an exciting challenging and immensely rewarding specialty.
During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview a question will appear on your screen and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP ANP or ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
