JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Job Responsibilities:
Carefully review and fill all prescription orders for patients and customers
Advise patient of Drug Utilization Review (DUR) which includes appropriate dosing and duration of use. drug interactions allergy warnings and drug compatibility
Engage in quality assurance activities reviewing orders for accuracy of input as well as the physical filling of all prescriptions
Evaluate daily business; consider staffing levels and other factors to maintain efficient operations
Communicate in an effective and professional manner with co-workers chief pharmacist prescribers nurses other healthcare professionals and entities
Ensure compliance obligations are met in all aspects of business
Maintain required professional licensure with the PA State Board of Pharmacy including the completion of continuing education hours and training
Maintain accurate records of controlled substance and narcotic inventory and appropriately return expired or unsalable controlled substances to Inmar for credit and proper destruction
Coordinate the closing process and ensure all work is completed at the end of the day; prepare the pharmacy for the following days business and verify the physical security of the pharmacy at closing
