Our Pronto Delivery Drivers in Fort Mill SC earn $26.53 an hour. We are looking for Pronto Drivers who relish the chance to push their potential grow and reap the rewards of joining the US FOODS family.

Main Ingredients of the Job
As a US FOODS PRONTO DRIVER you will be critical to the US FOODS team and one of the important faces of our organization. As a Pronto Driver you will have an impact on our customers by delivering our meats produce frozen goods groceries dry goods equipment and supplies to their drop-off sites. Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs work ethic collaborative spirit and service.
- Lift 80 lbs on a consistent basis.
- Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
- Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
- Use a hand truck to deliver to the customer location including going up and down stairs with the product as necessary.
- Accurately record delivery information including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation.
- Responsible for the proper documentation and disposition for any return product.
- Communicate delivery- customer issues to proper authority (i.e. Customer Service Territory Manager Transportation Supervisor etc.).
- Deliver the product to each of the designated stops using the stop sequence provided for the day.
- Unload product safely and stage product in the space(s) designated by customer.
- Check the invoice for complete delivery. Process paperwork and damaged merchandise if any.
- Collect payments if necessary.
- Monitor refrigeration system on van consistently for safety; follow all safe food handling procedures
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections such as monitoring fluid levels tires windshield wash and replenishing fuel.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table
Education/Training:
- High School Education or GED preferred
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid drivers license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
- No more than 2 convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations no DUI convictions in the past 3 years no drivers license suspensions in the past 3 years.
- No commercial or professional driving experience is required.
- One year of multi-stop delivery experience is preferred or six months of local delivery experience and/or food service industry experience preferred.
- Hand cart delivery experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Able to read write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
- Must have basic math skills (add subtract multiply divide).
- Must pass pre-employment testing
- Have knowledge of area and/or map reading abilities.
- Use safe lifting and loading techniques
- Great interpersonal/customer service skills
- Availability to work on weekends and Holidays

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education specific skills function geographic location and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $25 and $30 per hour.
This role is also eligible for : overtime compensation.
