Responsibilities
EssentialFunctions
Conducts interactions with everyone in a friendly courteous and respectful manner.

Advocates to ensure privacy and confidentiality while helping others to maintain awareness.
Maintains a clean and safe hospital.
Responds appropriately and immediately in emergency situations.
Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients visitors and/or staff to provide the highest level of physical comfort and minimize risk and injury.
Ensures compliance with regulations to maintain accreditation and licensure.
Complies with the Hospital Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
Completed all Hospital and Department Specific Mandatory requirements in the prior calendar year.
Reports Incidents in a timely and effective manner.
All employees with direct patient contact are responsible for actively engaging in the practice of monitoring and enforcing compliance to hand hygiene.
Responds immediately to critical events.
Provides leadership and follow up during critical events such as code blue code red and code 100.
Provides appropriate follow up (i.e. staff education documentation family / staff support etc.)
Adjusts staffing levels to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Evaluates staffing needs continuously and adjusts as necessary to meet the needs of the patient for the current and next shifts.
Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff.
Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff.
Provides clinical consultation advice and education.
Assists staff with problems.
Completes all employee performance evaluations by evaluation due dates.
Maintains operations of other departments during non-operating hours.
Functions as an administrative resource for other departments during non-operative hours.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
Associates degree in Nursing required.
BachelorsDegree preferred
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of three years acute care experience required.
Critical care or Emergency care experience preferred.
