JOB DESCRIPTION
Star of the Sea Elementary is seeking a friendly and organized temporary school secretary to join our front office team starting at the end of August. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient school environment for students staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors students and parents
- Answer phones manage emails and handle general office correspondence
- Provide administrative support to staff and school leadership
- Maintain student records and attendance
- Assist with communications and scheduling
- Use office software to manage documents forms and internal communications
Qualifications:
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers and common office software (Word Excel email etc.)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy school environment
- Willingness to learn new systems
Assets (Not Required):
- Previous experience as a school secretary
- Familiarity with MyEd BC
