Senior Safety Specialist/Safety Specialist
Biglow Canyon and Tucannon River Wind Plants (Wasco OR & Dayton WA)
The coordinator can choose which location will be their home base and will be expected to travel to the other wind farm on a weekly basis. Typical work hours are Monday-Thursday 4-10s except during outages. Although rare the coordinator may be called in afterhours or weekends for immediate safety concerns or incidents.

In this role youll design develop implement and oversee the organizations safety programs to safeguard employees and the public and to ensure compliance with laws standards and regulations.

Please note that we can consider candidates with less experience (2 -5 years at the professional level 2) duties would be less complex and performed with more supervision. Develops and administers safety programs guidelines and initiatives to meet business objectives and comply with all relevant state and/or federal laws and regulations. Integrates industry best practices into existing programs.

Education/Experience/Certifications
Education: Requires a bachelors degree in science business human resources or other related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Typically five or more years in professional safety and/or in electric generation transmission and distribution operations; or depending on position drug and alcohol or ergonomic program management.
Certifications Licenses and Training: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Construction Safety & Health Technician (CHST) Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST) Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) preferred depending on position. Journeyman card or equivalent trade or operator qualification preferred.

Compensation Range:
$74325.00 - $148625.00Actual total compensation including a performance based incentive bonus is commensurate with experience skills qualifications education training and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
