In This Role
You will be embedded in the data team of a large gaming studio supporting a widely successful and bestselling game. This position plays a crucial role in delivering actionable insights that shape subscription and marketplace features. Youll work closely with product owners and stakeholders helping guide product strategies and roadmap planning through deep data analysis and storytelling. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced data-driven environment and is passionate about the gaming industry.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct end-to-end data analysis for subscription and marketplace product features including new rollouts.
Develop dashboards generate reports and perform advanced statistical analysis to uncover player behavior and product performance trends.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams including product engineering and business stakeholders to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
Present findings and recommendations in stakeholder meetings helping influence business decisions and product development.
Provide onboarding support and analytical frameworks for new features as they are introduced.
Ensure data insights are integrated into planning discussions and roadmap prioritization.
Basic Qualifications
8 years of professional experience in data analytics or data science roles.
Strong SQL expertise (8 years) for querying and manipulating large data sets.
Proficiency in Python (8 years) for data analysis modeling and visualization.
Demonstrated experience in presenting insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
Ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights for product and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Management Information Systems Statistics Business Analytics or an MBA.
Experience using tools such as SparkSQL Databricks or Azure Data Explorer.
Familiarity with monetization strategies subscriptions or in-game marketplaces.
Prior experience in the gaming industry or working with digital consumer products.
Strong grasp of A/B testing design and statistical significance concepts.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including without limitation skill sets education responsibilities experience and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic-based ranges for Washington state: $130000 - $145000 USD annually with a midpoint of $128500. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidates qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
