JOB SUMMARY
The job of Paraprofessional I is to assist assigned teaching personnel in the supervision and instruction of students and performing classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional process.This position will intervene directly and support students with behavior challenges. The position collects manages and interprets data on student behaviorhelps administrators and teacher supportbehavior intervention goals and oversees the calming space. The incumbent will work under the direction of theprincipal and assistant principal and in collaboration with teacher(s). TheParaprofessional I isrequired to attend professional development and demonstrate competence in the application of learned technical skills andparticipate in ongoing embedded training experiences. Regular attendance and physical presence are required.

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting carrying pushing and pulling some climbing and balancing some stooping kneeling crouching and crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 40% sitting 30% walking and 30% standing. This job is performed in a generally hazard-free environment.
