If these values sound like they were written for you read on! We are seeking a motivated results-oriented individual to join our team on a part-time temporary contract as a Finance Assistant.


Overview:

Position Type: Part-time Temporary
Hours: 20-24 hours per week
Duration: Starting immediately through December 19 2025
Compensation: $25-$28/hour depending on experience

This role will provide essential support to our finance department by assisting with day-to-day financial operations and administrative tasks. The Finance Assistant will work closely with senior finance staff to ensure accurate financial record-keeping efficient payment processing and project support and effective expense management systems.

Your main responsibilities are:


Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Provide general bookkeeping and data entry support
  • Process invoices and payments
  • Generate payment reports and maintain vendor records
  • Assist with accounts receivable follow-up activities


Expense Management & Reconciliation

  • Perform credit card reconciliations and expense coding
  • Manage and process expense reports


Project Budget Support

  • Assist with project budget tracking expense allocation and reconciliation
  • Maintain project expense documentation and reporting


Administrative Support

  • Assist with special projects and system maintenance as needed
  • Ad hoc admin support as needed

Background and Experience

Required:

  • 1 years Bookkeeping experience
  • BBA degree/diploma specialized in Accounting or Finance or Bookkeeping certifications
  • Minimum work experience required is a co-op or internship in a corporate setting
  • High level of discretion and attention to detail
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Strong Excel skills

Desired:

  • Experience with NetSuite

Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada. This is a part-time role. Throughline operates with a hybrid environment work model so employees will work onsite in Midtown Toronto (Yonge and St. Clair)for 1 to 3 days per weekand remotelyfor the remainder of the time.
