Job Summary

Per Diem SLP with experience in Pediatrics for Fridays only (4-6 hours/week) working with a collaborative and talented team of pediatric therapists.

Responsible to assess diagnose treat and help prevent speech language cognitive-communication voice swallowing fluency and other related disorders.

Essential Functions: Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech language communication and swallowing disorders.

-Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

-Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.

-Monitor and document patient progress adjust treatment plans as needed.

-Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders and provide strategies for improving communication.

-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.



Qualifications

EducationMasters Degree Speech Therapy requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degreeNoLicenses and CredentialsSpeech-language Pathologist State License - Generic - HR Only required Class D Passenger Vehicle Drivers License State License - Generic - HR Only preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology CCC-A - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred Basic Life Support BLS Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology CCC-SLP - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferredExperiencespeech pathology experience 0-1 year preferred acute hospital experience 0-1 year preferredKnowledge Skills and Abilities- Familiarity of diagnostic assessments for speech language. - Employee must have strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures sufficiently to perform clinical services independently. - Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice. - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. - Knowledge of state standards federal and state regulations.
