The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is a key team member that will be responsible for utilizing their skills and training to accomplish the assigned tasks in a timely manner while meeting the standards set forth in safety quality and productivity.
What youll do:
- Follows and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Follows all OSHA safety regulations as well as company quality and productivity standards
- Support production materials requirement needs
- Organize and maintain proper storage of materials
- Receive ship and store both large and small parts
- Experience in forklift operations is a plus
- Knowledge of production assembly
- Inspect and determine parts condition
- Distribute goods to all areas of production
- Assist in physical inventories
- Perform Pre-Inspections of parts when required
- Use and read both standard and metric measuring devices
- Understanding of various automobile parts a plus
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Assist with trouble shooting issues as needed
- Works well with hands hand tools and small power tools
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Strong attention to detail organization and locigal thinking.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
