Commissioning Manager
Our client based in Charlotte is hiring a Commissioning and Closeout Manager to play a critical role in the transition of solar PV facilities from construction to full operation. Responsibilities include:
- Supervise commissioning of all AC and DC systems including: PV modules inverters trackers switchgear metering systems and transformers
- Perform or manage QC testing and troubleshooting at active construction sites
- Review contracts and ensure all commissioning-related obligations are fulfilled
- Confirm installation work is completed per approved site plans and any approved design changes
- Ensure testing requirements are executed including: Open circuit voltage I-V curves Megger resistance and thermography tests Power meter verifications
- Conduct site visits and supervise contractor work related to repair modifications or commissioning
- Drive accurate and timely completion of project punch lists
- Lead development of site commissioning schedules checklists and plans
- Audit third-party system installations to ensure compliance
- Report on all site troubleshooting activities repairs and corrective actions
- Support the PR (Performance Ratio) testing data analysis and technical resolution
- Finalize project documentation: As-builts O&M manuals Commissioning reports Warranty packages
- Coordinate with utility companies and grid operators to complete final inspections and approvals
Requirements:
- 5 years of solar experience (O&M and commissioning)
- Practical experience in electrical wiring and system installation
- Experience with DAS/SCADA systems and LAN troubleshooting
- Ability to travel to remote project sites
