About the Role
The Assistant Design Manager is integral to both operations and design support by ensuring design integrity timelines and quality standards are met. This position will directly assist the Head of Product Design and Training in follow-up training after designers and consultants have finished their formalized training.
In this position you will:
Assist the Head of Product & Design with day-to-day Closet Pro (CAD) Design Consultant support both live and virtually as needed
Assist in back-end functionality of Closet Pro on an administrative level
Act as a resource for product and accessory specifications
On-site follow-up design training and support to any Closet America location
Identify and train sales Design Consultants that need additional coaching & training in technical design based on feedback from other departments
Perform 3-week follow-up training with new Design Consultants in order to shorten their learning curve and attain KPIs as required within a shorter time frame
Manage and provide support for corporate sales add-on process
Key Qualifications
High school diploma: some college preferred
2 years design experience required
2 years of CAD hands-on experience required
2 years of training experience highly recommended
Cabinet Vision software experience (1 year)
Demonstrated spatial reasoning ability
Design problem solving skills
Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help sales designers strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must have skills to connect with and get alignment with both clients and internal business partners on design payments ordering and technical support
