Provides expert advice and services on legal concerns with emphasis on establishing policies that minimize legal and commercial risk. Applies independent judgment in determining courses of action required to perform assignments. Makes recommendations on all matters including policies and complex legal problems. Located in a KONE Unit or Global Legal Function.
Roles and responsibilities
Advises the organization in legal matters as required.
Reviews drafts and negotiates contracts and other legal documents.
Drafts contract templates.
Develops implements and updates relevant legal policies and guidelines.
Resolves legal disputes.
Ensures that shareholders meetings board meetings and related filings and documentation are timely done in compliance with applicable laws and reported under the KONE Company Files policy.
Depending on the jurisdiction and matter in question represents the company before judicial tribunals governmental agencies and in dispute resolution proceedings
Focuses on preventing legal and contractual problems.
Follows changes in laws and regulations and advise on how they impact KONE
Coordinates legal proceedings before courts government agencies or other authorities so that the organizations interests are protected.
Maintains and coordinates contacts with external lawyers and related advisors.
Maintains strong connections with colleagues within KONE to share best practices and to understand current and future needs.
Collaborates with business colleagues to achieve targeted business results with acceptable level of legal risk
Provides training on legal areas affecting KONEs business.
