Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Senior Partner Solutions Architect with a focus on our Public Sector AWS Partners to join our thriving technical community and growing business in Germany as part of the Germany Public Sector team. You will join a friendly and supportive team working together to bring the latest in cloud computing technologies to our customers including: government agencies state-owned companies educational institutions healthcare and non-profit organizations. Our Public Sector teams help customers and partners build a deeper understanding of cloud technology and application architectures so they can benefit from everything cloud technology has to offer.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Partner Solutions Architect at AWS you will build technical relationships with partners of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor ensuring a great partner experience with AWS and most importantly for our shared customers. You will have ownership of the technical relationship between AWS and our partners helping them to support our customers by making recommendations on security cost performance reliability operational efficiency and best-practice architecture.
Internally you will be an advocate acting on behalf of the customer to help drive continual improvements to AWS services sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services. You will also help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organization by helping to hire coach and mentor others and find opportunities to improve the way we work.
In this role your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions with the opportunity to define and invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community.
You will own or participate in the creation and sharing of best practices technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers code samples blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops user groups meetups public speaking online videos or conferences).

- Proficient German language skills both written and verbal are required (minimum C1 level)
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 4 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 2 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective
- Experience working with or for Partner organizations
