The successful candidate will be responsible for the nutritional management of patients on the Medical and Radiation Oncology unit (C2) in accordance with the Clinical Nutrition Standards of Practice as well as the principles of person-centered care. The successful candidate will participate in the advancement patient care and professional practice through student education professional activities unit-based and organizational committees quality initiatives and practice-based research.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Current membership in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO) required
- One to two (1-2) years experience with oncology patients preferred
- Experience in management of enteral and parenteral nutrition support required
- Experience in providing patient and family education required
- Proficient caseload prioritization and time management skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for patient needs
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated commitment to a person-centered care approach with an understanding and appreciation of the oncology population
Full-Time
