Job Description
Advanced Behavioral Health Inc. is looking for Therapists to join our newprogram Stand Tall and Remain in School (STARS) to deliver school-based mental health services to students in kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12)in Carroll County Public Schools addressing school refusal behavior and associated mental health challenges. The Therapists will provide comprehensive evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support student attendance engagement and overall well-being with an emphasis on early identification and intervention.
ABHis a family centered mental health program that offers a wraparound approach to treatment. We specialize in Psychiatry Off-Site Counseling Services On-Site therapy and Therapeutic Mentoring. Compensation: $63500 - $85000 based on licensure experience and if bilingual Spanish
Job Types: W2 Full-Time
Location: Carroll County Maryland
Essential Functions:
- Provide individual group and/or family therapy to students in grades K-12. participation in the STARS Program with a focus on addressing factors that may contribute to school avoidance.
- Conduct clinical assessments to evaluate mental health emotional and behavioral needs related to school refusal and chronic absenteeism.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based trauma-informed interventions tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with school personnel families and other service providers to coordinate care and ensure a comprehensive support system for each student.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to support positive mental health outcomes and improved school attendance.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency school district and legal standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings case reviews and professional development activities related to school-based mental health services.
- Manage a caseload of 20-25 clients weekly sessions with students and family.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in psychology social work counseling or related discipline;
- Licensed in the state of Maryland as a LMSW or LCSW-CLGPC or LCPC;
- Previous experience doing psychotherapy desired.
- Ability to manage delegate and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to travel 60% of the time.
- Must be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic differences present among the practices service population.
- Empathy and Compassion.
- Excellent customer service listening interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Responsible reliable and punctual.
- Must demonstrate understanding of managed care concepts and willingness to provide treatment and work within that system. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
