Description

Are you looking for a highly rewarding career with great benefits a dynamic team and a supportive environmentTheWisconsin Humane Society(WHS) is looking for relief veterinarians at our Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allis.Pay commensurate with experience.Our team of veterinarians and support staff are committed passionate and fun. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing high-volume high-quality safe spay/neuter surgeries for public animals
  • Ensuring safe effective and efficient medical processes from check in to discharge including follow up
  • Vaccinating animals and providing quality medical screenings
  • Monitoring the daily health of client animals
  • Providing medical information to clients and answer questions as needed
  • Train and support any WHS team members in all aspects of patient care and efficient/safe clinic practices while maintaining a professional and positive approach
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Schedule

  • DVM degree and license required; high volume spay/neuter experience required.
  • Must be committed to our organizational values of compassion respect and kindness innovation professionalism equity and positive approach
  • Ability to partner with clients staff and volunteers from diverse backgrounds
  • Our clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Relief veterinarian schedule/hours variable depending on candidate availability and clinic needs.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.

About us

TheWisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is the oldest and largest shelter in Wisconsin. It was founded in 1879 and operates shelters in Milwaukee Ozaukee Racine Door Brown and Kenosha Counties as well as a Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allis. The organization offers adoption services youth programs low-cost veterinary resources retail stores volunteer programs dog training classes and much more. The Milwaukee shelter also houses the states busiest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. WHS is an independent nonprofit and receives no general government funding and is not part of any national umbrella group.
