Key job responsibilities - Design and implement ETL data pipelines to analyze billions of records across multiple databases - Develop high-quality optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis using Redshift - Create scalable data sources in collaboration with Data Engineers and business stakeholders - Partner with Data Scientists and Product Managers to implement data-driven improvements - Build user-friendly automated reporting solutions to streamline analytics requests - Develop and maintain business-critical metrics KPIs and financial reporting across forecasting products
A day in the life Your day typically starts with a team standup to align on priorities and ongoing projects. You might spend your morning optimizing a complex SQL query for a new analytics dashboard followed by collaborating with Data Engineers to refine data pipeline designs. After lunch you could be in meetings with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs or working with Data Scientists to implement new metrics. Youll regularly use tools like Tableau or Quicksight to create visualizations that make data accessible to various teams.
About the team The Exports Visibility team based in Bellevue is part of GLs rapidly growing organization. We work directly with logistics cross-border carriers and various stakeholders to enhance international delivery experiences. - 2 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift Oracle NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau Quicksight or similar tools - Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel Tableau QuickSight MicroStrategy PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test Chi-squared) - Experience with scripting language (e.g. Python Java or R)
