Job Description

Job Title: Automotive Painter
Position: Full-time commission
Location: Phoenix AZ
Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail a strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for preparing painting and finishing repaired vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicles for paint including sanding masking priming and taping.
  • Mix and match paint colors to factory specifications.
  • Apply paint using spray guns and other tools with precision and consistency.
  • Read and interpret repair estimates and work orders accurately.
  • Ensure a high-quality finish that meets dealership and customer standards.
  • Maintain a clean organized work area and properly store materials and tools.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership to meet deadlines.
  • Perform quality checks before and after paint application.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an automotive painter in a body shop or collision repair setting.
  • Ability to read and understand repair estimates and work orders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-quality results.
  • Familiarity with paint mixing systems and refinishing equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental standards.
  • Certifications (I-CAR ASE PPG etc.) are a plus but not required.
