Job Description

Automation systems company in the Atlanta metro area needs an Electrical Controls Engineer.

  • Using your knowledge of EPLAN (preferred but not required) you will work on the with cross-functional teams to develop control system architectures for material handling equipment and robotic applications.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure the manufacturing of electrical cabinets adheres to NEC (NFPA70) UL508/UL508A and other applicable industry standards.
  • Generate documentation for subsystems including the electrical cabinets.
  • Design and program Safety PLCs HMIs and/or motion control systems.

 


Qualifications :

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Five years of experience in robotics industrial automation or electrical controls engineering.
  • Experience with industrial electrical design and PLC programming with Allen-Bradley Rockwell or Siemens controls.
  • Proficiency with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP PROFINET TCP/IP MODBUS IO-Link
  • Knowledge about conveyor systems sensors tooling
  • Position requires some travel to domestic customer sites about 20-30%.
