Summary: The Outreach Specialist guides the team in engaging families and communities through outreach activities like health fairs presentations and marketing campaigns. This role builds relationships with families community leaders and organizations help manage logistics for the Mobile Family Resource Center and provide support to subcontractors. The Outreach Specialists position involves coordinating events distributing parenting materials supporting intake assessments and ensuring data compliance. Also manages event logistics secures sponsorships and promotes child abuse prevention efforts all while supporting program success and adhering to agency policies. Supports clients in learning about and accessing services. The scope of work is subject to change as needed to ensure all projects are completed. Likewise complementary changes may be made to projects or individual goals and employee expectations based on agency/management strategic goals. All Center for Children team members are expected to be collegial and collaborative mutually supportive and focused on excellent services to clients fidelity to program models and ethical provision of services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach activities including health fairs presentations marketing campaigns and networking events to engage families and community partners.
Build and maintain positive relationships with families community leaders and organizations.
Organize events to engage HOPES clients and establish a community presence.
Ensure outreach materials remain relevant inclusive of client voices and address community concerns.
Supports clients in learning about and accessing services.
Maintain a well-stocked display of promotional and educational materials for community events.
Help manage logistics for the Mobile Family Resource Center (M-FRC) to maximize visibility and effectiveness.
Assist in delivering services through assigned modalities such as Circle of Security Parenting Be Strong Parent Cafs Safe Care Empath Mobility Mentoring and Play Caf as needed.
Provide support to subcontractors in outreach efforts.
Support intake assessments provide referrals and deliver family support services.
Provide educational demonstrations and distribute research-based parenting materials.
Help distribute and document the provision of basic needs to families.
Develop and maintain partnerships with agencies organizations and community stakeholders.
Collaborate with leadership program directors and partners to evaluate outreach efforts and challenges.
Work with program leads to develop and execute a strategic outreach plan.
Coordinate with local programs and coalitions to enhance outreach efforts and avoid duplication.
Engage partners to support HOPES priorities through sponsorships media outreach and participant support.
Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with program and funder requirements.
Conduct quality assurance checks and support report preparation by verifying collected data.
Participate in program planning monitoring and evaluation activities.
Utilize Reflective Practice and participate in Reflective Supervision for professional development.
Complete all required training and adhere to professional standards and agency policies.
Arrange and coordinate community events securing engagement and support.
Maintain event records including guest lists contributions and acknowledgments.
Secure media coverage and promotional opportunities to enhance awareness of child abuse prevention efforts.
Support recruitment and outreach efforts by engaging potential participants and partners.
Manage event logistics including sponsorships venue coordination and resource allocation.
Compose program-related communications and maintain databases.
Assist with data management and client engagement efforts.
Perform errands related to document delivery supply pickups and event logistics.
Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to accommodate program needs.
Perform other duties as assigned to support program success and agency goals.

Minimum Qualifications Employees providing services to clients must meet the requirements of the program model or funder for the project to which they are assigned. In general the Center prefers that client-serving staff:
Be a graduate from an accredited high school GED program or equivalent with at least 2-3 years of experience in a human services or early childhood role; or
Have an associate or bachelors degree in social work or related field with 1-2 years of experience in a human services role or early childhood role. Depending on the role requirements additional work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for college.
Ability to read write and speak English and Spanish.
Exceptional computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and familiarity with data management systems.
Strong time management organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from all walks of life.
Must have a valid drivers license a vehicle in safe operating condition and maintain proof of current insurance at Texas minimum standards.
Successful completion of a criminal background check in accordance with agency policies.
Must be able and willing to travel for trainings meetings and conferences as needed.
Ability to walk sit stand and lift/carry at least 25 pounds.

The flexibility needed in this role includes scheduling of meetings/events/activities scheduling supervision sessions with staff training staff meetings and out-of-town travel for training and/or grant requirements.
