Job Description

Summary

A minimum of 10 years of facility management with an emphasis in Healthcare required.

Position Summary
Executive Leader of all Facilities management Environmental Services Security Real Estate Facilities Design and Construction for National Jewish position works closely with the executive management team to plan for and execute expansion renovations and capital construction projects. Ensures that facilities and real estate are used optimally and provide a safe secure and comfortable environment for patients visitors and staff.

Essential Duties

  1. Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication leadership guidance and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency:recruits interviews selects hires trains orients mentors evaluates coaches counsels disciplines and and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  2. Ensures that facilities both on and offsite are constructed and maintained to ensure a welcoming clean and comfortable environment for patients visitors and staff.
  3. Works as a member of senior leadership to develop and execute strategy manage resources and optimize use of space and facilities.
  4. Ensures compliance with the standards of National Jewish Health and applicable regulatory standards including The Joint Commission CMS State of Colorado and other regulatory bodies.
  5. Leads safety and security ensuring that National Jewish Health maintains a safe secure environment for patients visitors and staff.
  6. Directs and oversees facility projects campus planning leases and external projects. Oversees architects engineers and contractors coordinates with neighborhood groups partners city planners and National Jewish Health leadership to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively and meet the needs of National Jewish Health.
  7. Effectively develops and manages all facility operational and capital budgets. Works with Finance executive and departmental leaders to provide facility expertise in acquiring capital equipment leases and cost estimates.
  8. Ensures effective use of National Jewish facilities including conference rooms common space and parking. Oversees campus moves space surveys space leases etc. to ensure optimal space utilization and effective use of resources.

Manages 2-5 direct reports overseeing staff of 75-120 individuals

Travel
Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or related degree preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years of facility management with an emphasis in Healthcare required. Experience with overseeing planning design renovation and construction projects in large complex healthcare facility setting including advanced knowledge of the design and construction industries standard practices preferred. Experience with regulatory bodies including CMS Joint Commissions and City and Counties and experience with real estate transactions including purchase and sale of property and lease negotiations preferred.
  3. Special Training Certification and Licensure: None

Salary Range: $206344.55 - $254000
