JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager assumes overall coverage of Radiology Services in the absence of the Radiology Manager and/or Director. Coordinates the technical and managerial operation of the evening/night and weekend shifts. Performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for x-ray procedures of particular organs and body parts to furnish diagnostic information. Provides staff training completes personnel schedules and evaluates the competency and performance of all personnel at the medical center and outlying clinics. Provides oversight of the student externship program. This position serves as the department educator regulatory liaison and assists the Director and Manager with a variety of compliance and billing/coding issues.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
-Graduate of an AMA accredited radiologic technology program.
-Bachelors degree in a related business or Healthcare field-preferred.
Certification & Licensures:
-Must be ARRT NMTCB and/or ARDMS registered other advanced registries in other modalities helpful.
-BLS certified.
Experience:
-Minimum of five years experience as a Radiologic technologist.
-Prior supervisory experience is helpful.
