Primary Purpose:
Provide oversight on the implementation of truancy prevention and at-risk services. Provide consultation services and training to campus staff and administration. Counsel students and parents in an effort to encourage school attendance and educational success.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from accredited university in Social Sciences or Education preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies including behavior management interventions
Knowledge of compulsory attendance law and local district policy
Awareness and ability to access community resources
Prepare reports on activities to inform management of accomplishments issues and problems
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Able to follow guidelines be flexible and adaptable to change
Working knowledge of computerized word processing programs and spreadsheets
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years experience in social service programming for at risk youth and their families
Experience in implementing truancy prevention measures and other district initiatives
